As humans we all have some sense of whats right and wrong. We can see ourselves as noble beings fitting of happiness or as guilty transgressors against the environment, social justice, or god.
These philosophical convictions usually exist independent of the conscious and ar experienced emotionally. Ayn Rand calls this a sense of life.
