Nineteen Minutes

This quarter we were asked to read a book, I chose to read xix Minutes written by Jodi Picoult. This fictional novel started step to the fore strong, and kept the reader hooked all the way through. ground in the small town of Sterling, bracing Hampshire, and through the eye of a series of characters, the reader experiences an adventure that wont soon be forgotten.
The story begins on a spring day in the small town of Sterling, New Hamshire. It begins to go into detail somewhat many of the characters, including the soon-to-be victims. The reader learns about the life of Alex Cormier, who is a Judge for the city, who has a daughter in her junior year of high shoal, named Josie.
The scene is set, and the reader tush feel the underlying serious tone. It seems as though things on this particular day are going as they normally did, but instead of the silence outside of the high school being filled with sounds of birds and cars, there were sounds of gunshots, screams, and fear. This is when Detective Patrick Ducharme is called to the scene, as he wrestles his way past the streams of horrified children into the school. It is there where he finds himself lawsuit to face with the killer himself, Peter Houghton.

After frantically retrieving willpower of the gun, and taking control of Peter, Patrick begins to take count of the victims. He thusly notices that one of the casualties that, at first glance appeared dead, may really be alive. This girl, Josie Cormier was unconscious laying on top of her mate Matt Royston, the only victim to suffer two gunshots, alas did not survive the massacre. Patrick later finds out that Josie has no anamnesis of the tragedy as a way to protect herself from anymore mental pain.
