In the 1982 Guatemala went by a different time. Guatemala was going through genocide. The Guatemalan governance was dash offing the Mayans natives and rebel soldiers. In this layer Tree Girl By Ben Mikealson, he shows genuinely intense forecast, unique personification, and dread similes to show in a blink of an eye you washstand lose something most important to you.
Intense foreshadowing in Tree Girl shows hints of Gabis emerging and how she is going to have to deal with her love bingles dying and how to face life and death situations. Cowards can be very dangerous when they have guns.(Mikealson 14) Cowards in this story can be dangerous because soldiers and guerillas have guns and can kill others. Another quote from the story that foreshadows the future is, Knowing Spanish, puts is in great danger.(Mikealson 41). If the government soldiers found out that Gabi could speak Spanish she could be killed and her family too. One more quote that ties in foreshadowing is, theyre sending out death squads now to kill us because were indigos.(Mikealson 87).

Just like foreshadowing, dreadful similes in Tree Girl can tell us how terrible thing can
