Introduction
According to the United internet for Organ Sharing (UNOS), as of November 4, 2011, in that respect be 112,674 flock waiting for an organ. In stark contrast, there are notwithstanding 9,409 donors. The average wait time for a single kidney is 4 to five years and is expected to increase as the rime of requested transplant continue to outstrip the number of donors. (HRSA 2011). Clearly, there is a massive shortage of transplantable organs. One proposed set up for this increasingly urgent problem is the development and usage of embryotic beginning carrel therapy. Websters International Dictionary defines stem cells as un specialize cells ancestral to other more than specialized cell (Merriam-Webster 1993). In other words, stem cells are undifferentiated (or non-specialized) cells that have the unique ability to divide and differentiate into more advanced somatic cells (i.e., hepatic, neural, parietal, renal) (Watt 2000). Unlike traditional medicine, stem cell therapy offers a way to restore the function of damaged tissues and organs.

In the case of organ transplants, embryonic stem cells could theoretically be cultured in mass, differentiated into varying types of organs, and then transplanted into the patient. These home-grown organs should be completely functional counterpart to natural organs. However, embryonic stem cells can do more than just commute any organs (although that is an amazing ability by itself). A few practical applications of embryonic stem cells are (but are not limited to)testing toxicity levels, gathering data on the effect of recently synthesized drug on human cells, and restoring illogical functions of damaged tissues. While the benefits are ample, there are just about ethical controversies surrounding human embryonic stem cells. The controversies stem from the fact that, as of right...If you want to get a serious essay, order it on our website: Orderessay
