Sigmund Freud
On may 16, 1856 Sigmund Freud was natural. His Father, Jacob had a previous marriage a foresightful with two children conjoin Amalie Nathansohn and had Sigmund as their first of eight children. His family was were Jewish Galicians and lived in a Moravian town in Priibor, Austrian Empire.(currently Czech Republic) During birth Freud was born with a caul, in their culture that is a sign of practiced luck. being the first born of eight children his parents and their cultures traditions favored Freud everywhere the others in his childhood. Having a proper education for Freud was the number champion priority for their family. They never let poverty cause the exceed of them. When the economic crisis of 1857 hit Jacob lost his business Leipzig. The moving did non end there. by and by on Leipzig they found a home in Vienna. Attending the Leopoldstadter Kommunal- Realgymnasium in 1865 he quickly was noticed for his recognition
and drive. In 1873 he graduated the Matura with honors I might add.
Being a standout out student at his previous instill Freud was debating on going to study law or medicine. After he decided not to study law he attended the University if Vienna to study in their medical school. He got his doctorate in medicine in 1881. His Early studies were researching the nervous.
He spent a lot of time looking at the nervous systems of fish and life cycles of eels. He spent weeks studying eels to find their male reproductive organs but failed.
Freud took a trip to Paris, France in October 1885 with Jean Martin Charcot Europes most renowned neurologist and researcher of hypnosis. This trip was the reason for Freud to persue the path of medical psychopathology. Although he would make more money as a clinical neurology research, he went with what he was passionate for. Hypnosis did not last long as a theory for mental illness. He later turned to free association and dream analysis.
