American author, William Faulkner wrote this fictional tommyrot called A arise for Emily, which was published by a national magazine, Forum. The storys location is in a fictional city of Jefferson, Mississippi. The tale of unmatchable of the townsfolksfolk perspective opens the story for us to witness different observations of Emilys mysterious lifestyle. The story is divided into five dollar bill sections. If the narration would rich person been by an omniscient third person, the story would have put oned much much depth and detail of who Emily rattling was as a person as well as her thoughts and feelings throughout her lifespan.
Initially we see Emilys death and the townspeople attending her topographic point in curiosity, especially the women. This is because Emily rarely left field the house after her husbands death. It even seems as like Emilys house was out of place; her home is described at as rich and upscale, but absent management and maintenance. It is never really mentioned as to why Emily is such an outcast, or why she was pushed to that mental state of mind. Perhaps it is because of her bleakness and judgments of her noisy neighbors.

It could be anything, but because of the fact that everyone who really knew her is departed or even completely ignorant of her actions, no one really understands Emily. If the story was narrated differently, we as readers could see Emilys cognizance and her feelings that would reveal much about her.
As the new town mayor takes charge, Emily gets several warnings and letters indicating that she has to pay her taxes some term after her father passing away. Emily sternly refuses, I have no taxes in Jefferson. Colonel Sartoris explained it to me. Perhaps one of you can gain access to the city records and satisfy yourselves (Faulkner, 31).
