Genetics and Crime Theory The theory of genetic science and offence began in the late 1800s. It is said that crime may be contagious and are genetically based. To make up the genetics and crime theory there are a bunch of smaller theories. In 1877 Richard Louis Dugdale analyze the Juke family, and in 1912 Henry H. Goddard examine the Kallikak family. Both of these families were well known as crime families. When Dugdale studied the family narration of the Juke family he was able to identify hundreds of criminals inwardly the descendants, supporting the genetics and crime theory. When Goddard finished his studies he came up with feeblemindedness as being inherited but not criminality. The record of crime genetics being inherited is known as eugenics. Eugenic criminology thinks that criminality is passed down from generation to generation in the form of bad Genes. Another theory is the Supermale or XYY theory. It is believed by some that a male is more aggressive if he has the extra Y chromosome. The first well known athletic field of the supermale was done by Patricia A. Jacobs in 1965.
