Intellectual Biography of Max weber Max weber, a German sociologist and political economist was born in Erfurt, Prussia in 1864 on April 21st, the first child to Max and Helene Weber. Webers bugger off was a liberal politician, who moved his family from Erfurt to Berlin when he joined the field Liberals. This was the same magazine that he became a member of the Prussian House of Deputies (1868-97) and the Reichstag (1872-84) (Mitzman). Education was a large part of Webers younger days, he began at the University of Heidelberg in 1882 at the age of 18, so immediately after he ideal high school. At the age of 20, Weber had military work to fulfill at Strasbourg. Once Weber was released from the Military, his father had asked him to excite his academic career at the University close to home, in Berlin, this was so that he could live at home while refinement school. From 1884 when Weber returned home, until 1893 when Weber got married, he left home precise rarely for only short occasions. Weber spent most of his academic career working for un-paying apprenticeships as as lawyers confederate and as a university assistant, therefore he could not bear up under to live on his own, and had to endure more of his parents arguing and disagreeing (Coser).

In the fall of 1893, Weber began his position as a prof at the University of Berlin and married his wife, Marianne Schnitger, a second cousin of his (Mitzman). Weber made sure to keep himself dedicated to work and learning, he had very intense focus on whatever he was doing, in hopes to keep himself away from his tendency to self-indulgence and laziness, which could give way to an emotional and spiritual crisis(Mitzman). These qualities of Weber seemed to really further him in each of his careers in the academic felids. After working at Berlin, he became a professor in political prudence at Freiburg and in 1896 another position at Heidelberg.
