Evaluation of Gay and Heterosexual acceptance
I chose this term on an evaluation of gay/ homosexual and straight espousal because I thought that it was an interesting topic, and I have a daughter of my own so I can disturb to the correction on a personal level. The article was compose by Paige Averett, Blace Nalavany, and Scott Ryan. They did this study to compare the extent of emotional and behavioural problems of adoptive pincerren given the sexual orientation of their adoptive parents. They had almost interesting bits about the number of children in the child welfare trunk waiting to be adoptive and the number of gay and lesbian parents wanting to adopt. Interestingly enough, the gay and lesbian parents wanting to adopt far exceeded those children in the welfare system. Their possibleness was that parent sexual orientation would not have a significant impact upon the emotional and behavioral functioning of their children. If I had to throw an idea out there I would prescribe that people are people so why would their adopted childrens emotional and behavioral functioning differ from those with children with heterosexual parents. Research, in the Ryan and Cash report, show that adoptive children with gay and lesbian parents operate at an average/typical to strength range.
It notes that the adoptive children were growing up in strong, sturdy households. I intent that gay and lesbian adoptive parents were discriminated against and should have the same endangerment to have family as anyone else. The information would have been more dead on tar cling if the other 100 people turned in their survey.
The study consisted of two data sets. One was families participating in the Florida Adoption Project(FAP). They wanted to look into the success among the population of parents who had adopted a child through Floridas public welfare system and were receiving an adoption subsidy for at least one adopted child.
